The Waverley College Foundation

The Foundation was established in 2019 to encourage the generosity of the school community for the benefit of our students, now and in the future.

The giving initiatives and activities managed by the Foundation provide opportunities for the Waverley community to participate actively in the life of the School and support important projects and initiatives that otherwise would not be possible.

Gifts, donations and bequests to the College will now be directed through the Foundation and distributed in accordance with its guidelines.

Having a Foundation creates a secure and independent financial base that maximises the value of the support the College receives.

A few words from General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (RETD) (Class of 1964), Patron of the Waverley College Foundation

I have been fortunate to receive many honours throughout my military career and time as Governor General of Australia, but the invitation to be Patron of the Waverley College Foundation is particularly special to me.

My time as a student at Waverley College was a wonderful experience that positively shaped my life and cultivated important qualities such as courage, respect, wisdom and empathy. I'm a firm believer in the power of education and its ability to provide abundant opportunities later in life. By taking on the role of Patron, I hope to provide future generations of students with the kind of education that was so pivotal to my personal success.

As a proud Waverlian, I am honoured to be appointed the first Chair of the Waverley College Foundation. It was my time at Waverley College that provided the strong foundation and values which have shaped my career and achievements.

"Now is the time to enhance and enrich the Waverley experience; to encourage our students to excel and to increase access for boys who would otherwise not seek enrolment. I look forward to contributing to the success of the vibrant, living entity that is Waverley College."
